Our program offers a rich, interdisciplinary, multilingual experience for children, 6 weeks through first grade, in an intercultural environment. Through our multilingual immersion approach, Building Brains Academy offers a full-immersion Spanish, Mandarin, French, and English language program that focuses on the unique way children naturally absorb new languages in their early years.

Why Language
Immersion?

Children learn a language intuitively by being immersed in it. We all learn this way from our parents, and it is the simplest and most effective way to learn a new language. The quantity of words a child is exposed to and the frequency of exposure have a direct influence on how fast that child will learn a language on both a receptive and an expressive level.

CURRICULUM

Edu1st VESS is a bilingual international curriculum that promotes critical thinking in children. It follows the Making Thinking Visible Approach of teaching from Project Zero at Harvard University.

Edu1st VESS is a bilingual curriculum approved for Florida’s VPK Programs. It is an eclectic holistic approach to learning. Our curriculum takes into account and integrates the academic, social and emotional development of the child so that they may reach maturity in all these areas. VESS’ main objective is fostering in each child the thinking and life skills necessary to lead a Meaningful Life with Balance and Wisdom.
This curriculum combines all the fundamentals that children need during the most crucial neurological stage of their lives in order to endow each child with the necessary habits of mind and thinking and life skills to lead a good and productive live.
Infancy and early childhood is the ideal time to immerse your child in a foreign language. Between birth and five years old is when the human brain is hardwired to learn language and most receptive to acquiring the phonemes, grammar, and vocabulary of multiple languages. After age five, this critical window closes and it becomes much harder to learn a new language.

My daughter had the joy of having Ms. Mei-Ling as her VPK teacher, and I truly cannot say enough good things about her. She radiates love—not just for her students, but for her work. You can feel how much she enjoys teaching, and it shows in everything she does. She has a magical way of making every activity fun, engaging, and easy for the kids to understand. Learning in her classroom feels like a daily adventure! I honestly wish we could take her with us wherever we go. We’ve had a wonderful experience with BBA! The staff is incredibly caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the well-being and development of the children. Our daugther loves going every day and comes home happy, engaged, and always excited to share what she had learned. We’ve been truly blessed and so lucky to have Ms. Miriam and Ms. Liliana as Avril’s teachers this year in Pre-K3. Building Brains has been an amazing place for our son. From day one, we felt we had found the right place. The facilities are beautiful, always spotless, and the children adore their teachers. The curriculum is top-notch! Ms. MeiLing is an outstanding teacher: loving, understanding, and kind. She makes the children feel comfortable with her and they absolutely love her! Our son has been at building brains going on three years now and we are so blessed and thankful to his teachers. He has learned so much and is thriving. I wanted a more intimate smaller setting for our son on top of the safety measures they have in place at the school were a big reason we chose this school. They are also a language immersion school with Spanish,  mandarin, and French. Our son can speak a few sentences to us in Spanish and understands a huge majority when we have full conversations. Miss Eli, the teacher, is one of the best that children could have. She is a kind, attentive teacher who takes care of them and gives them a lot of love. All the children love her very much because she teaches them and dedicates quality time to them. I am impressed by everything my son learned at VPK.
